Early snow

People are talking about a colder winter than normal, and yesterday we got 6" of snow, so I hope they are right. It was a driving, wet snow that stuck to everything. Where the trees hung over the road, there was little snow on the road but the tree branches were 4x their normal size.

Sno-el, sno-el.

Winter wonderland.

Notice the leaves still on our neighbor's apple tree.

Taken at night with a 60-second shutter setting on the camera.
I'd like to think we will have snow for Christmas, but more than likely it will be a typical season with either 60 degree temperatures or 38 degrees and raining.
